1. Q: Can I do a return or exchange? A: Normally, I would say to reach out within 7 days of receiving your package to chat about your options. All returns are the responsibility of the buyer. BUT, during these corona times, I am not accepting any returns or exchanges at all, until further notice. Thomas (my hubby) has type 1 diabetes, and we are doing every single thing we can to protect him.

2. Q: Will my piece look exactly like the picture online? A: I wish I could open a little roadside shop where each and every customer can come in person to hold and feel and examine every item I make. Unfortunately, the nature of my pottery business is currently all online. This means that while I do my very best to photograph the pieces, because they are pottery, and are super imperfect, there is no guarantee that your piece will look exactly the same as it did in my living room when I snapped the photo.

3. Q: Do you provide measurements? A: My sweet son, Braedon, sits beside me with a wooden ruler and measures each item as I list it in my shop. The measurements are approximate.

4. Q: I like things perfect. A: This isn’t a question, but I can tell you right now you will not like my pottery. I celebrate the handmade and the imperfect. I love that each of my items is completely original and one of a kind. All of my work is made ethically and with heart and integrity. Just like me, it is far from perfect. And that’s what makes it so great.

5. Q: How do I care for my pottery? A: Please wash by hand, very carefully. Pottery is fragile and is prone to chipping, cracking and breaking. Don’t use in the microwave. Also please be aware that clay can sometimes contain fine grains of sand and rock. Be mindful of the surfaces you place it on.

6. Q: What are your shipping policies? A: I always use tracking and insurance. Once your item is marked as delivered, I am unable to submit a claim for a lost package. If your pottery arrives broken, I will 100% cry and apologize a million times. Then, I will ask you to take photos of the item and the package so that I can submit for an insurance claim. One time a wedding photo album was drenched in water, and while it was clearly the fault of the postal service, it took 2 months for the claim to be settled. I promise I always do my very best, but if something arrives broken, I ask you to be a little patient with me.

7. Q: How often do you release new collections: Pottery is my love and I am committed to spreading joy with others. As long as I am able to keep making, I promise to keep sharing.

8. Q: Why are your pieces more expensive than Target? A: My pottery is, proudly, not made in China in a factory using cheap, unethical practices. I work in my little home studio and spend hours on each and every handmade item using the finest materials and tools available. I feel like either people ‘get it’ or they don’t, and that’s OK. One of a kind pieces aren’t for everyone, but I sincerely hope that my pottery lands in the laps of people who believe in the preservation of slow living.
