Robert Frost Farm, New Hampshire

Braedon read the poems aloud as the floor boards creaked under our feet. His voice adding a whole new level of love to the words already held so close to my heart. Lily brought her camera and so thoughtfully captured moments and items that called to her. The butterflies on the quilt, the typewriter keys, the shadows beside the curtains.

Halfway through our time there, I realized I kept holding my breath.

I think part of me wanted to somehow keep Robert Frost's ghost in my lungs as long as possible.

So now, at each wedding, when the guests ask, "Where can we see all these pictures you're taking?" We can hand them these customized cuties with all the info on the back.

Shannon + Matt // A Preview

We spent the day with our incredible family visiting from Portland, OR and as we drove away to head to tonight's engagement session I thought, "Today couldn't get any better." Wrong.

Sunshine + rain + the craziest sky I've ever seen + the biggest double rainbow I've ever stood under (no, but for real. In that image down there, the couple is the tiny dot on the left!) + the ocean + big beautiful trees + the sweetest love in the whole wide world...

This. THIS is what it's all about.

Earlier in the day there were children running along the beach, chasing waves, laughing wildly. When their guests arrived it was the clinking of glasses and the hum of pleasantries. Once the band began to play, the horns and drums and guitar took over, throwing their music to the sky. But out here, tucked away and hidden, it was only this. Sometimes the silence makes the most beautiful sound of all.
