Among the Trees

“We depend on nature not only for our physical survival.

We also need nature to show us the way home..."

(The first two images were the boy's Grandma's vision. She is a seriously incredible woman, and I am so blessed to spend my days learning from all of these amazing souls.)

Real + Enduring

When we finally have touched upon a spiritual high that is real and enduring,

then we know that the pain of getting there was worth it,

and the years ahead will never be as lonely.

7:04-8:07pm

These simple moments

the way they hold hands without even realizing it as they read together before bed

are everything.

We are guests in their home, and tonight I had to stop and collect these tiny pockets of life with my camera because my heart was aching from how beautiful it all is.

Everything.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, our friends opened their home to us, and welcomed us into their celebration.

I won't come on here and pretend that I loooove Holidays. Truth: they are actually a pretty tricky time for me.

But being here, in this space, I cannot help but feel a whole new level of gratitude, and love.

These friends, who are now such a beloved part of my family, began as clients. (See here, here, here + here). Spending today in their home, which is  peppered with my images, has mended parts of my heart I had kind of given up on.

So grateful for keeping my art sacred, allowing the incredible Universe to work its magic, and always leaving room for beautiful everyday miracles, like these.
