Today was supposed to be filled with summer sunshine. We were supposed to go to the park and picnic under the leafy tree shade and catch bugs in jars. But Mother Nature had other plans. This morning the skies opened up and poured. And poured. And poured.
Here’s what I love about this family: they made the absolute best of it!
They played in the wet grass, rode on Daddy’s tractor, giggled with their favorite toys, set up the picnic blanket and basket inside, and even had a watermelon bathing suit party- in the bathtub! Love it!
All morning, while watching this family enjoy their time together despite the rainstorm, this quote kept running through my thoughts:
While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.

These little boys didn’t care one bit about the change of plans. All that mattered to them was they were spending time with each other and making memories to last a lifetime.
